Enter the chiral aperiodic monotile: a newfound exotic geometric shape which is unique because it tiles a surface but cannot form a pattern – and because AI relies on patterns, it is stumped in generating such a design. It’s not expected to be an easy task for AI within the next 5-10 years. If they do catch up, we’ll be the first to tell everyone and hopefully earn a little credit for popularizing a cool, innovative design.
